The magical place where in 1914 took place

one of the biggest manouevre battles

during the FIRST WW - called

"The Battle of Lodz"or "The Operation Lodz".

Almost 700 000 (!!!!) Russian and German

soldiers fought in the operation near Lodz.

Nearly 300 000 of them were killed

in these cruel struggles.
